History

Mike has raised and cared for pigeons throughout his childhood and adult years and was a member of the former Nunu Pigeon Racing Club in Ewa Beach. 

He won several races from Ewa Beach to the other islands (Maui, Molokai, Big Island) before the club disbanded many years ago but to date, Mike still maintained and cared for a handful of pigeons as his hobby. 

Five years ago, Mike retired after 48 years employed with NAPA in Campbell Industrial Park and as for myself, I also retired from the State of Hawaii after being employed for 34 years. 

After Mike’s retirement, our son Cameron continuously encouraged Mike to get more actively involved in his hobby so we travelled to attend several pigeon shows on the mainland which enthused Mike more so.
